At the open of this July 16 session, the Ibovespa was down 0.44% at 175,234.63 points, while Azul (AZUL3) was up 1.37% at R$ 22.20 and Gerdau (GGBR3) was down 2.86%, trading at R$ 20.01. Right after the B3 opening, AZUL3 appeared as the top gainer and GGBR3 as the biggest loser among the session’s highlights.
On the positive side, Azul (AZUL3) shares led the gains, trading at R$ 22.20, up 1.37% at the start of the session. Next, Azevedo & Travassos Energia (AZTE3) was up 0.79% at R$ 1.28. Common shares of CEMIG (CMIG3) rose 0.36% to R$ 16.56, while Sanepar units (a bundle of securities traded as a single unit) (SAPR11) advanced 0.27%, quoted at R$ 37.36. Among the biggest gainers, Trisul (TRIS3) showed a 0.25% increase, trading at R$ 4.05.
On the downside, Gerdau (GGBR3) was the main negative highlight at the open, falling 2.86% to R$ 20.01. Armac (ARML3) shares retreated 0.59% to R$ 3.35, while Dexxos Participações (DEXP3) dropped 0.56%, trading at R$ 7.13. Unipar (UNIP6) was down 0.45% at R$ 61.71, and EMAE (EMAE4) rounded out the list of the five biggest losers, down 0.41% at R$ 36.84.
In the first few minutes of trading, the picture showed the Ibovespa in negative territory, with moderate moves among the main gainers and losers, and a spotlight on the rise of AZUL3 and the drop in GGBR3 on B3.
