Its origins date back to 1963, with the founding of Oscar S/A Indústria de Artefatos de Borracha, which in 1973 began operating in the automotive segment. In the same year, it entered the city of Varginha, also in Minas Gerais, through the acquisition of Plavigor. Plascar’s business model is centered on the production and supply of parts and components related to vehicle interior and exterior finishing, serving both the original equipment market for automakers and the replacement market, always with a focus on the automotive segment. The company has a product development center that covers engineering, design, materials engineering, tooling engineering and manufacturing, seeking to offer complete solutions in plastic components. Its main portfolio items include bumpers, instrument panels, air vents, consoles, grilles, tail lights, door panels, sun visors, glass mirrors and spoilers, in addition to other complex plastic parts for light and heavy vehicles.
