The company originated as a business unit of M4U (Mobile 4 You), active in the early 2000s in the mobile value-added services segment, operating in partnership with telecommunications carriers. In 2024, the company reported relationships with 1,475 partners in 58 countries, including 149 large enterprises and 1,326 small and medium-sized businesses. Among large clients are 113 mobile carriers, 6 electric power distributors, and 30 digital banks, digital wallets, e-commerces, and broadband providers. Within the SME universe, 1,102 private K–12 schools, 208 broadband providers, and 16 fintechs stand out. In the Brazilian market, Claro, Vivo, and TIM each accounted for more than 10% of total reported 2024 net revenue, highlighting the relevance of the telecom sector in the group’s revenue, even in a context of geographic and sector diversification.

The company’s recent trajectory has been marked by acquisitions that expanded its technological and market scope. In 2019, the purchase of Nuance Communications’ assets in Brazil and Central America added voice messaging and microfinance services to its operations, as well as capabilities in voice technologies. After its IPO and listing on B3’s Novo Mercado in 2021, Bemobi acquired M4U, strengthening its position in digital payment solutions, and Tiaxa, expanding its capabilities in microfinance, credit scoring models, recurring billing management, and anti-fraud controls. In 2022, it entered its first partnerships with electric power distributors to digitize the payment journey of these consumers. In 2024, the acquisition of Friday, a B2C payment management platform with a payment initiator (ITP) license, added to the group an infrastructure directly connected to the instant payments ecosystem, strengthening its payment methods offering. At the same time, Bemobi filed with the Central Bank of Brazil for an electronic money issuer license, which will allow the company to operate as an indirect Pix participant through its payment institution Bemobi Mobile Finance. These initiatives align with its strategy to position itself as a vertical payments provider, integrating transactional solutions into its engagement SaaS base and other digital services, mainly in sectors with highly recurring billing.
