BlackRock reached a stake of approximately 10.029% in the common shares of Equatorial S.A. (EQTL3) on October 8, 2026, after it came to hold, on an aggregated basis, 126,314,698 common shares and 58 American Depositary Receipts (ADRs), representing 58 common shares, totaling 126,314,756 common shares of the company.
According to the letter sent to Equatorial, BlackRock’s equity interest is solely for investment purposes, with no intention of changing the company’s control or management structure. The asset manager also stated that it does not hold any convertible debentures issued by the company and has not entered into contracts or agreements governing the exercise of voting rights or the purchase and sale of securities issued by Equatorial.
