On Friday, October 9, 2026, COPASA (CSMG3) released its operating report for the third quarter of 2026 (3Q26), reporting a 1.1% increase in measured water volume, which reached 174.5 million m³, and a 3.6% increase in sewage volume, which totaled 123.8 million m³, compared to 3Q25, on a consolidated basis, including subsidiaries COPANOR and Patos Saneamento.
In 3Q26, the company continued to expand its customer base, with a 1.5% increase in water connections, which came to 5,844 thousand units, and a 2.5% increase in sewage connections, which reached 4,347 thousand units, versus 3Q25. Water hookups grew 1.5% to 4,848 thousand units, while sewage hookups rose 1.8% to 3,372 thousand units.
The average consumption period remained virtually stable, moving from 92.1 days in 3Q25 to 92.2 days in 3Q26, a 0.2% change. According to the company, in addition to measured volume and tariffs authorized by the regulator, revenue is also affected by other factors, especially changes in estimates of unbilled consumption.
