On Wednesday, October 7, 2026, PetroReconcavo (RECV3) reported that it acquired two exploratory blocks in the 6th Cycle of the Permanent Concession Offer of the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP). One of the blocks, POT-T-747, is located in the Potiguar Basin, in Rio Grande do Norte, and the other, REC-T-178, in the Recôncavo Basin, in Bahia.
The blocks add an area of approximately 58 km² to PetroReconcavo’s portfolio and are in regions adjacent to concessions already operated by the company. According to the statement, the acquisition is aligned with the strategy of expanding operations in basins where the company already has a consolidated presence and operational expertise, using existing infrastructure for collection and primary processing of production.
The total amount of signing bonuses to be paid by PetroReconcavo in 2026 is R$ 360,000. The company also committed to carry out a Minimum Exploratory Program of 200 Work Units per block over an exploratory period of five years, starting from the signing of the concession contracts, scheduled for February 2027.
