Midway through Tuesday’s session, the Ibovespa was down 0.58%, at 205,733.81 points, while Gafisa (GFSA3) was up 9.09%, quoted at R$ 0.36, and Banco do Brasil (BBAS3) was down 7.03%, at R$ 24.48. Compared with the last update of this session, GFSA3 trimmed its gains from the previous +12.12%, while BBAS3 extended its losses from the 5.6% drop seen earlier.
Among the biggest gainers of the session, in addition to Gafisa (GFSA3), Simpar (SIMH3) was up 7.42%, trading at R$ 13.47, and Camil Alimentos (CAML3) was gaining 6.22%, at R$ 6.66. Next, Lojas Quero-Quero (LJQQ3) was trading up 6.15%, at R$ 2.07, and DASA (DASA3) was advancing 6.11%, quoted at R$ 4.34. Earlier in the session, the highlight was TPIS3 at the open, while now the focus of the biggest moves has shifted to lower-priced and consumer names.
On the downside, Banco do Brasil (BBAS3) appeared as the biggest decliner of the session, falling 7.03% to R$ 24.48. Among the other standout losers, Espaçolaser (ESPA3) was down 6.31%, at R$ 7.87, Taurus (TASA4) was retreating 4.99%, at R$ 7.99, and Banco BTG Pactual (BPAC11) was down 4.08%, at R$ 77.59. Recrusul (RCSL4) rounded out the list of the five biggest losers, with a 3.16% drop, at R$ 0.92, as the Ibovespa remained in negative territory intraday.
