In this afternoon’s trading on B3, the Ibovespa was up 8.78% at 209,012.98 points, extending the positive move seen earlier in the session. Among the standout stocks, EcoRodovias (ECOR3) was trading up 29.63% at R$ 12.82, while Magazine Luiza (MGLU3) rose 26.54%, quoted at R$ 9.63. On the opposite side, Recrusul (RCSL4) fell 10.19% to R$ 0.97, remaining the session’s biggest loser so far.
Compared with the latest updates in this session, the Ibovespa moved from 208,952.70 points (+8.75%) to the current 209,012.98 points (+8.78%). Among the earlier highlights, Banco BTG Pactual (BPAC11) at one point posted a gain of 27.29% at R$ 84.04 and was now up 26.20%, trading at R$ 83.32. RCSL4, which earlier was down 10.19% at R$ 0.92 and then showed a loss of 14.81%, remained among the biggest decliners, quoted at R$ 0.97, down 10.19%.
In the group of the five biggest gainers in the session, in addition to ECOR3 and MGLU3, highlights included BPAC11, which was up 26.20% at R$ 83.32, Movida (MOVI3), which climbed 25.71% to R$ 13.64, and B3 (B3SA3), the owner and operator of the Brazilian stock exchange, with shares trading at R$ 23.78, up 25.16%. These stocks were all showing moves above 25% in the partial results for the day.
On the downside, after RCSL4, Suzano (SUZB3) was down 5.73% at R$ 41.81. Embraer (EMBJ3) slipped 3.72%, quoted at R$ 94.60, while Méliuz (CASH3) retreated 2.85% to R$ 5.11. Paranapanema (PMAM3), which has recently been at the center of news about financial restructuring, was down 2.50% at R$ 0.39, ranking among the five biggest declines in today’s session.
