On Tuesday, September 29, 2026, Azul S.A. (AZUL3) announced that it entered into a definitive loan agreement with the Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES) under the 2026 financing program of the National Civil Aviation Fund (FNAC), which provides access to up to R$ 2.66 billion in long-term financing. According to the company, the financing strengthens its liquidity position and financial flexibility, supporting liability management initiatives and its long-term strategic plan.
As part of the agreement, Azul received today the first disbursement, in the approximate amount of R$ 1.3 billion, while the remaining R$ 1.3 billion is expected to be available in the fourth quarter of 2026. The financing has a term of up to five years and, as part of the transaction structure, Azul is prepaying an existing higher-cost financial obligation in the approximate amount of R$ 400 million.
