On Friday, September 25, 2026, Companhia de Saneamento de Minas Gerais – Copasa MG (CSMG3) reported that it had received a copy of correspondence from Gerais Saneamento S.A. to the State of Minas Gerais, stating its intention to request the early termination of the Shareholders’ Agreement executed on June 11, 2026 between the investor, the State of MG, and Copasa, as consenting intervening party. Early termination is provided for in Clause 7.2 of the Shareholders’ Agreement and depends on the approval of the matters indicated in Clause 4.5 and in Annex 4.5 at the Extraordinary General Meeting called for September 28, 2026.
According to the correspondence, Gerais Saneamento will send the State of Minas Gerais a new notice confirming the approval of the matters related to the Extraordinary General Meeting of September 28, 2026, together with the documents required for the effective implementation of the early termination. Copasa stated that it will keep the market informed of material developments, including the effective early termination of the Shareholders’ Agreement, after the necessary confirmations.
