On Monday, August 31, 2026, Natura Cosméticos S.A. (NATU3) reported that its Board of Directors has approved changes in the company’s leadership, effective from the second half of 2026. After a 10-year cycle as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), João Paulo Ferreira will leave the position, with his resignation becoming effective after September 30, 2026, and he has also immediately stepped down as a member of the Board of Directors and its advisory committees.
To replace João Paulo Ferreira, the Board elected Alessandro Carlucci as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), to take office on October 1, 2026. Until then, Carlucci will work alongside João Paulo in a transition process described by the company as seamless. The executive has already led Natura as CEO between 2005 and 2014 and has recent experience in large organizations in the consumer, retail and digital commerce sectors.
Due to the bylaws’ requirements regarding the minimum percentage of independent directors and the prohibition on combining the roles of CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors, Alessandro Carlucci tendered his resignation as a member and Chairman of the Board, as well as from his positions on advisory committees, effective from August 29, 2026.
As a result, Fábio Barbosa, a member of the company’s Advisory Board, returns as Chairman of the Board of Directors, a role he has previously held. He was elected director and Chairman of the Board with effect from August 29, 2026, and his appointment will be submitted for ratification by shareholders at Natura’s next General Meeting.
The company stated that its strategic guidelines remain unchanged. According to the release, the management changes combine knowledge of Natura’s legacy and business model with innovation, while keeping the management’s focus on profitability, operational efficiency and efficient capital allocation.
