Midway through Tuesday’s session, the Ibovespa was down 0.12% at 171,697.30 points, after starting the day slightly higher. Among the biggest moves in the period, Construtora Tenda (TEND3) was up 4.38%, quoted at R$ 32.38, while Azevedo & Travassos Energia (AZTE3) was down 7.24% at R$ 1.41.
On the gainers’ side, in addition to TEND3, Assai (ASAI3) advanced 3.73%, trading at R$ 8.62. Eucatex (EUCA4) was up 3.65% at R$ 21.30, and Oncoclínicas (ONCO3) gained 3.29%, at R$ 1.57. Localiza (RENT3) also stood out on the positive side, up 2.64% at R$ 34.59.
Among the biggest losers, AZTE3 led intraday losses, down 7.24% at R$ 1.41. Paranapanema (PMAM3) slipped 6.67%, quoted at R$ 0.14, while Ambipar (AMBP3) fell 6.25%, at R$ 0.15. Braskem (BRKM5), which recently approved an out-of-court reorganization request involving unsecured debt (debt without specific collateral) of about US$ 10.9 billion, was down 5.07% at R$ 4.49. Azevedo & Travassos (AZEV4) rounded out the group of the five biggest decliners, down 4.73% at R$ 1.61.
Compared with the market open, when the Ibovespa started up 0.06% and Cora Saúde (CSED3) was among the top gainers, the index moved into negative territory and the list of the biggest intraday movers changed, with TEND3 and AZTE3 taking over as the biggest gainer and biggest loser, respectively.
