Braskem (BRKM5) reported in a material fact on Monday, August 24, 2026, that the Board of Directors approved the filing for out-of-court reorganization, under Law 11,101/05, for the company and certain subsidiaries. The purpose is to ensure a stable legal environment to negotiate and implement the restructuring of unsecured financial obligations in the approximate amount of US$ 10.9 billion within the scope of the out-of-court reorganization.
According to Braskem, the out-of-court reorganization will have a limited, strictly financial scope and will not include obligations with suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders, which remain in force and are being performed normally in accordance with the contracts.
The company emphasized that, after formalizing the relevant documents, it will file the request for out-of-court reorganization and will keep the market informed about material developments, making documents available on its investor relations website, at the CVM, and at B3.
