On Wednesday, August 19, 2026, PetroReconcavo S.A. (RECV3) announced that it had executed instruments with Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. – Petrobras to extend the term of the contracts for access to natural gas processing at the Natural Gas Processing Unit located in Pojuca, Bahia (UTG Catu). The documents include the 5th Amendment to the Firm Natural Gas Processing Contract, the 2nd Amendment to the Natural Gas Purchase and Sale Contract for Use as Fuel Gas, as well as adherence to the new General Rules of Access to UTG Catu and to the agreement among users of the processing pool.

These instruments established new access conditions, updating commercial and operational terms and ensuring contracted capacity between 2028 and 2037. According to the company, this represents progress in the strategy to monetize natural gas produced in Bahia, providing greater operational predictability and competitiveness over the next decade.

In this context, PetroReconcavo decided to suspend the Final Investment Decision (FID) for the construction of the Miranga Natural Gas Processing Unit (UPGN Miranga), which had been announced on November 4, 2024, thereby avoiding, at this time, an investment (CAPEX) estimated at US$ 60 million. Investments already made in studies, land acquisition, basic design and environmental licensing remain preserved, keeping the project as a strategic portfolio option, which may be resumed if new PetroReconcavo projects or demands from other independent producers require capacity beyond that available at the natural gas processing units in Bahia.

PetroReconcavo emphasized that this initiative is aligned with its resilience program to reduce operational risk and with the economic and social development of the regions in which it operates, further reinforcing its commitment to creating sustainable value for shareholders and to corporate governance practices and transparency in communication with the market.
