Light S.A. – in Judicial Recovery (LIGT3) reported that on August 18, 2026, its credit ratings were upgraded by Fitch Ratings, as were those of its subsidiaries Light Serviços de Eletricidade S.A. (Light Sesa) and Light Energia S.A. (Light Energia).
On the national scale, Fitch raised the Long-Term National Rating of Light, Light Sesa and Light Energia from 'D(bra)' to 'BB(bra)'. On the international scale, the Long-Term Issuer Default Rating (IDR), in both foreign and local currency, was raised from 'D' to 'B-' for the three companies. The Outlook assigned to the ratings is Stable.
According to Fitch, the upgrade reflects the completion of Light Sesa’s debt restructuring process and the improvement in the group’s capital structure. The agency published a report with further details on its website.
