By 1:20 p.m. this Wednesday (22), the Ibovespa was up 1.60% at 176,099.61 points, maintaining the positive bias seen earlier on B3. Among the standouts of the session, WEG (WEGE3) was up 9.72% at R$ 46.60, while Paranapanema (PMAM3) was down 9.38%, quoted at R$ 0.29.
Compared to earlier updates in this session, WEGE3 extended its gains: after previously being up 8.78% and, before that, 9.96%, the stock is now advancing 9.72%, remaining the biggest gainer of the session, at R$ 46.60. Among the other gainers, Braskem (BRKM5) was trading at R$ 6.13, up 7.36%; Intelbras (INTB3) was up 6.87% at R$ 14.15; CVC (CVCB3), which earlier had been up 8.9% at R$ 1.22, was now at R$ 1.19, with a gain of 6.25%; and Companhia Siderúrgica Nacional - CSN (CSNA3) was advancing 5.73% to R$ 5.35.
On the losing side, Paranapanema (PMAM3) deepened its losses compared to earlier in the session, going from a 6.25% drop to a 9.38% decline, at R$ 0.29, standing as the biggest loser of the day so far. Oncoclínicas (ONCO3) was trading at R$ 0.64, down 8.57%. Gafisa (GFSA3), which had already been under pressure with negative performance earlier in the week, fell 5.56% to R$ 0.34. Rounding out the list of the five biggest declines were Azevedo & Travassos Energia (AZTE3), which was down 3.70% at R$ 1.30, and International Meal Company Alimentação (MEAL3), down 2.82% at R$ 0.69.
Against this backdrop, the Ibovespa remained up 1.60% halfway through the session, after previously being recorded with gains of 0.77% at the open and 1.32% and 1.52% at intermediate points of the session, while the main gainers and losers reshuffled throughout the day.
