In the first moves of Wednesday’s session on B3, the Ibovespa was up 1.52%, at 175,956.45 points, extending the gains seen at the open. Among the standout stocks, CVC (CVCB3) led the gains, trading at R$ 1.22, up +8.93%, while WEG (WEGE3) climbed to R$ 46.20, an increase of +8.78%. On the opposite end, Paranapanema (PMAM3) posted the worst performance at the moment, trading at R$ 0.30, down 6.25%.
After the opening of the session, when TPIS3 and UCAS3 concentrated part of the attention, other stocks started to stand out. In addition to CVCB3 and WEGE3, Braskem (BRKM5) appeared among the top gainers, at R$ 6.10, up +6.83%. Next, Viveo (VVEO3) was quoted at R$ 0.65, a gain of +6.56%, and CSN Mineração (CMIN3) traded at R$ 5.85, up +4.84%.
On the losing side, PMAM3 continued to show the steepest decline so far, at -6.25%. Ourofino Saúde Animal (OFSA3) was in second place on the downside, quoted at R$ 25.23, a drop of 2.85%. Gafisa (GFSA3) traded at R$ 0.35, down 2.78%, while Caixa Seguridade (CXSE3) was at R$ 21.86, a decline of 2.10%. Estapar (ALPK3) rounded out the group of the five biggest losers, at R$ 4.17, a -1.42% move.
As a result, compared with the opening of this session, the advance in the Ibovespa from +0.77% to +1.52% came along with greater dispersion among sector highlights, with tourism, capital goods, petrochemicals, healthcare and mining on the list of the biggest gainers, and metallurgy companies, animal health, homebuilding, insurance and parking services among the biggest losers in the session as of the time of the latest data.
