Brava Energia (BRAV3) reported that, in 2026, it identified hydrocarbons in its first onshore exploratory well in the Sanhaçu Field, in the Potiguar Basin (RN), and notified the ANP of the presence of gas. Drilling of the step-out well 3-SAN-6D-RN reached a final depth of 2,230 meters, confirming the presence of the main reservoir in this field saturated with gas.

According to the company, the next stages of the project will include in-depth technical studies to assess the size of the gas accumulation and determine its potential production capacity.
