To succeed him, the Board of Directors, in a meeting held on the same date, elected Andrea Marques de Almeida as the new Chief Financial Officer and Investor Relations Officer, also starting from this date, subject to applicable approvals and formalities.

The release highlights Gabriel Lobo’s work over a little more than two years at Vitru, including his participation in the restructuring of the finance area, the strengthening of management, the evolution of processes and financial discipline, the company’s deleveraging path, the execution of a corporate merger and the completion of a follow-on (subsequent equity offering).

Vitru states that Andrea’s experience in finance, strategy, investor relations and the management of large organizations should contribute to the continuity of the company’s financial agenda, with a focus on efficiency, financial sustainability and long-term value creation.

The company also states that Andrea’s appointment reinforces its commitment to consistent management, the continuity of its strategy and the strengthening of corporate governance, and that it will keep its shareholders and the market informed about relevant developments in this transition.
