On Tuesday, September 29, 2026, BrasilAgro – Companhia Brasileira de Propriedades Agrícolas (AGRO3) announced the sale of 1,752.66 productive hectares of the Rio do Meio Farm, in Correntina (BA), for a present value of R$ 78.8 million, at a price of 425 bags of soybeans per productive hectare. The company estimates it will recognize, in the first quarter of the 2026/2027 fiscal year (1Q27), a gain of R$ 51.5 million before taxes.
The present value of the sale, R$ 78.8 million, is equivalent to approximately 2.9 times the book value of the area, R$ 27.3 million, which comprises R$ 22.6 million in acquisition cost and R$ 4.7 million in investments, net of depreciation. The nominal value of the contract is R$ 96.4 million.
BrasilAgro reported that it has already received the first installment of 181,568.50 bags of soybeans, equivalent to approximately 24% of the total contract volume, corresponding to R$ 21.1 million. The remaining balance of 563,312 bags of soybeans will be paid in four annual installments.
In addition to the sale, the company entered into a lease agreement for 383.44 productive hectares of the same farm, with a term through June 2030. The lessee will have a purchase option on this area until March 2028, at a price of 425 bags of soybeans per productive hectare, and this area is not included in the announced sale.
BrasilAgro acquired the Rio do Meio Farm in 2020 to develop its productive and real estate potential, having carried out investments, agricultural production and sales of areas at different times. The current transaction is in line with this strategy of capturing the appreciation of developed land.
