Banco da Amazônia (BAZA3) reported on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, that its Board of Directors approved, in a meeting held on August 28, 2026, the start of detailed studies on the potential formation of a joint venture with Asaptech Tecnologia em Meios de Pagamento Ltda., within the scope of its Strategic Planning and Business Plan.
According to the statement, the initiative aims to develop and leverage payment solutions covering the issuing, management and processing of credit cards, merchant acquiring and acceptance, as well as related products, services and technologies. The potential joint venture may involve a contribution of strategic assets by the parties to give greater flexibility to operations and accelerate business development.
Banco da Amazônia emphasized that the approval of the studies does not represent a definitive commitment nor does it imply any change to the operations, products or services currently offered by the Bank, including those covered by the partnership already signed with Asaptech. The institution stated that it will keep its shareholders and the market informed about developments on the matter and will disclose further information if additional material facts arise.
