BrasilAgro (AGRO3) released on Thursday, September 3, 2026, its initial estimates for its farming operations for the 2026/2027 crop year, projecting production of 452.9 thousand tons of grains and cotton, 6% above the volume achieved in the 25/26 season, with total area estimated at 165,208 hectares, 1% below the previous crop.

In the 25/26 season, the production area totaled 166,995 hectares, a 3% decrease compared to the initial estimate, and grain and cotton production reached 426.4 thousand tons, 4% below the projected figure, impacted by a smaller planted area, adverse weather events, and operational challenges. Even so, the harvested volume was 16% higher than in the previous crop, with area 3% smaller.

For the 26/27 cycle, the planting plan was defined more selectively in light of the prospect of a strong El Niño, with a 70% reduction in first-crop cotton area, the discontinuation of second-crop beans, and a 5% decrease in soybean area, while first-crop corn increases 22%, second-crop cotton advances 36%, mainly in irrigated areas, and pastures increase 21%. The estimates factor in the prioritization of crops and areas with a better risk-return profile.

In sugarcane, the company expects to harvest 2,176,350 tons in the 2026 crop year (April 1 to December 31), up 25% from 1,741,625 tons in 2025, with TCH (tons harvested per hectare) rising from 67.55 to 79.51. As of June 30, 2026, the harvest totaled 273.7 thousand tons, versus 585.4 thousand tons in the same period of the previous year, due to slower crushing at the mills, which postponed around 280 thousand tons to the coming quarters.

In livestock, BrasilAgro closed the 25/26 season with 11.4 thousand head of cattle spread over 8,847 hectares of pasture in Brazil and Paraguay, and projects for 26/27 an increase in the herd to 15,554 head, growth of 36%, with pasture areas expanding to 10,732 hectares. Estimated production costs for 26/27 include R$ 5,157 per hectare for soybeans, R$ 5,057 per hectare for corn, and R$ 11,004 per hectare for sugarcane.
