JPMorgan Chase & Co. has reduced its material equity stake in Méliuz S.A. (CASH3) and now holds 4.95% of the company’s total common shares, based on a share capital of 104,171,852 shares, following transactions carried out on August 31, 2026.
According to a notice sent to Méliuz, companies controlled by JPMorgan sold a total of 48,520 positions in derivative instruments backed by the company’s common shares. The long position in spot shares totals 54,649 common shares, representing 0.05% of the share capital.
In the cash-settled instruments position, JPMorgan’s economic group holds 5,165,794 share equivalents in equity swap derivatives, corresponding to 4.95% of the capital, in addition to a short equity swap position equivalent to 397,200 shares, or 0.38%.
JPMorgan reported that the reduction in its stake was driven exclusively by investment purposes and by the hedging of financial risks assumed in transactions with clients, with no intention of changing the control structure or management structure of Méliuz.
Méliuz (CASH3) also reported that it will update its Reference Form to reflect JPMorgan’s new stake, in line with CVM regulatory requirements.
