At the open of today’s B3 session, the Ibovespa was posting a slight gain of 0.06%, at 167,927.15 points. Among the standouts in the first minutes of trading, Recrusul (RCSL4) was up 11.67%, at R$ 0.67, while Paranapanema (PMAM3) was down 12.50%, trading at R$ 0.14.
On the gainers’ side, in addition to RCSL4, Azevedo & Travassos (AZEV4) was up 11.36%, quoted at R$ 1.47. In the sugar and ethanol sector, São Martinho (SMTO3) was rising 8.01%, at R$ 17.94, and Jalles Machado (JALL3) was gaining 7.21%, at R$ 2.38. Minerva (BEEF3) was also among the five biggest gainers, advancing 7.84%, at R$ 3.85.
Among the biggest decliners, after PMAM3, Intelbras (INTB3) was down 9.24%, at R$ 13.06, while Grupo Vamos (VAMO3) was losing 8.49%, quoted at R$ 2.48. In the healthcare sector, Hapvida (HAPV3) was down 6.86%, at R$ 6.11, and Simpar (SIMH3) was falling 6.05%, trading at R$ 5.59. These moves made up the initial picture of volatility in the first trades of the day on B3.
In recent days, Hapvida (HAPV3) had already been among the biggest losers on B3, after appearing in a recent survey that showed a 34.7% drop for the week, in the midst of the second-quarter 2026 earnings season. Paranapanema (PMAM3) had also appeared on lists of the week’s biggest declines, reinforcing the presence of both stocks among the steepest fallers at today’s open.
