Midway through Thursday’s trading session, the Ibovespa is down 0.62% at 174,927.01 points, while shares of Anima Educação (ANIM3) are up 8.81% at R$ 2.10, and Paranapanema (PMAM3) is down 15.15% at R$ 0.28, taking the spots of biggest gainer and biggest loser so far.
Among the session’s top performers, alongside Anima Educação, are shares of Recrusul (RCSL4), which are advancing 6.98% to R$ 0.46, maintaining the positive move seen in earlier updates this session. Next, Ambipar (AMBP3) is trading at R$ 0.16, up 6.67%, while CSN Mineração (CMIN3) is posting a 4.39% gain at R$ 5.47. Rounding out the list of the five biggest gainers, Lojas Quero-Quero (LJQQ3) is up 4.24%, quoted at R$ 1.23.
On the losing side, Paranapanema leads the declines with PMAM3 trading at R$ 0.28, down 15.15%, after already ranking among the negative standouts in recent news this week. Gafisa (GFSA3), which had also been appearing among the biggest drops in previous moves, is down 6.12% to R$ 0.46. Camil Alimentos (CAML3) is quoted at R$ 4.19, falling 4.99%, while Banco Pine (PINE4), which earlier had recorded a 6.19% drop in another intraday update, is now limiting its loss to 3.98% at R$ 11.33. Banco Mercantil (BMEB4) completes the group of the five biggest losers, with a 3.39% decline, trading at R$ 58.35.
As a result, compared with earlier updates this session, the Ibovespa has slightly pared its loss, going from 0.80% to 0.62%, while RCSL4 holds on to a gain close to 7.0% and PINE4 eases its losses. Overall, the midday session shows the index in negative territory, but with meaningful moves both among lower-priced stocks and among companies in sectors such as education, mining, food, and construction.
