Mid-session this Wednesday, the Ibovespa was down 0.30% at 176,124.77 points, while shares of Paranapanema (PMAM3) were up 35.71% at R$ 0.38, and shares of Anima Educação (ANIM3) were down 30.31%, quoted at R$ 2.00. Compared with the last update of this session, PMAM3 extended its gains and ANIM3 deepened its losses, remaining the top gainer and top decliner of the day so far.
Among the biggest gainers, in addition to PMAM3, Oncoclínicas (ONCO3) advanced 5.21%, trading at R$ 1.01. Enjoei (ENJU3) was up 3.57% at R$ 0.87, while MRV Engenharia e Participações (MRVE3) gained 3.51%, at R$ 5.01. Banco Mercantil (BMEB4) rounded out the list of the five top gainers, with a 2.90% increase at R$ 63.90.
On the losers’ side, after ANIM3, Camil Alimentos (CAML3) fell 13.73%, trading at R$ 4.65. Gafisa (GFSA3) came next, down 8.93% at R$ 0.51. Shares of Grupo Pão de Açúcar - GPA (PCAR3) dropped 6.12%, quoted at R$ 2.30, while Braskem (BRKM5) fell 5.27% to R$ 6.47.
Compared with earlier updates this session, the Ibovespa maintained a negative bias, swinging from a 0.40% drop at the open to a 0.27% decline in the previous update and now showing a 0.30% loss. PMAM3, which earlier was up 14.29%, accelerated its upward move to 35.71%. Meanwhile, ANIM3, which had previously been down 29.97%, extended its drop to 30.31% in the latest monitoring of the session.
