On Tuesday, July 14, 2026, Usinas Siderúrgicas de Minas Gerais S.A. – Usiminas (USIM5) reported that BlackRock, Inc. reduced its relevant equity stake in the company. On July 9, 2026, the asset manager came to hold, in aggregate, 26,609,040 preferred shares and 34,399 American Depositary Receipts (ADRs), totaling 26,643,439 shares, which represents approximately 4.864% of the total preferred shares issued by Usiminas.
In addition to the shares, BlackRock holds 21,602,682 cash-settled derivative financial instruments referenced to preferred shares, equivalent to approximately 3.943% of the company’s total preferred shares. According to the asset manager, the sole purpose of these holdings is investment, with no intention to change Usiminas’s control structure or management structure.
BlackRock also reported that it does not hold any convertible debentures issued by Usiminas and that it has not entered into contracts or agreements governing the exercise of voting rights or the purchase and sale of the company’s securities.
